DIRECT BENEFICIARIES
Our prime beneficiaries are the students doing practices on our farm and engaging in extension services, livestock keepers and communities engaged in crop farming. Livestock keeping is the predominant income earner for 90% of the farmers in Somaliland. They keep camels, cattle, goats and sheep. Crop farming accounts for10% of the agriculture activities in Somaliland.
Agriculture is so much curtailed by lack of sufficient water for livestock and lack of sufficient rainfall to support crop faming. In our quest to improve on Dryland management we shall liaise with; CBOs, Universities/colleges/institutes, high schools and Primary schools, NGOs, Youth associations, Women groups, Farmers’ cooperatives, Local government of Somaliland, Somaliland ministry of agriculture and environment & natural resources and Ministry of planning among many others perceiving this cause as worthy while.
