FACULTY OF AGRIBUSINESS MANAGEMENT
The faculty of Agribusiness management, with its proud of academic excellence and its strong national and international reputation, is an important contributor to Somaliland and Somalia production and business system, is one of the main international University major teaching and research makes a significant contribution to the country’s production and economic development.
As a faculty, we embrace the advancement, preservation and respect of knowledge in Agribusiness management through teaching, research and training to the benefit of the wider community. In addition, the faculty provides capacity building opportunities students to attain knowledge, skills and intellectual independence and to develop their leadership potential with scientific and social awareness and sensitivity.
Aims
The faculty is mandated to train and equip graduates with the requisite academic and entrepreneurial skills in the areas of agricultural production and business management for sustainable national development, in addition to carrying out research and extension services in these areas.
Objectives
- Students will exhibit critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills promoting lifelong learning.
- Students will possess oral and written communication skills that are effective with diverse audiences (employers, employees, industry, and government).
- To prepare students to become outstanding leaders and team players in collaborative and interdisciplinary application of their expertise to address local, regional, national and/or global problems associated with agribusiness.
- To provide students with an experiential-based research opportunity designed to translate content provided in coursework to reality.
